Paul von Stoetzel has written/directed several films and plays in the Twin Cities area including the award winning short H.P. Lovecraft adaptation, Asleep in the Deep and Von Convex. His first feature documentary, SNUFF: a documentary about killing on camera is traveling the film festival circuit and has already won numerous awards while also receiving major North American distribution. His most recent documentary, Scrap, is a feature documentary about two eccentric builders and their bizarre structures which is now traveling the film festival circuit.  He is currently in production for two more literary adaptations to film; Franz Kafka’s In the Penal Colony and H.P. Lovecraft’s The Curse of Yig.
Asleep in the Deep (IMDB) won the Audience and Jury Award at the 2006 H. P. Lovecraft Film Festival which has been some of the inspiration for Paul’s ambition to adapt and direct The Curse of Yig.  He is deeply appreciative of Tim for trusting in him to take a great Fringe Festival play and adapt it as a film.
