Tim Uren is a Minneapolis-based actor and comedian. 10,000 Comic Books was the name of his solo performance as part of the 2004 Minnesota Fringe Festival. It’s true, he really does own more than 10,000 comics. Since then Tim has presented several shows at the Fringe: Michigan Disasters, H.P. Lovecraft’s The Rats in the Walls, and Robert Anton Wilson’s Masks of the Illuminati. He has also appeared in Shut Your Joke Hole as well as Macbeth’s Awesome Scottish Castle Party and An Inconvenient Squirrel. Tim can often be seen performing with the the Scrimshaw Brothers, having served as the “Lord of the Pants” in their long-running late-night variety show, Look Man, No Pants. Additionally, he has served as a guest host during the run of The Scrimshaw Show. The Scrimshaws teamed up with Tim and Kelvin Hatle to form Soylent Theater, performing geek comedy at CONvergence, a convention for fans of science fiction and fantasy. Jon Cazares and Brian Wood have produced a number of short films featuring Tim and Joseph Scrimshaw as Chuck and Dexter, inept worshippers of Cthulhu (you know… Cthultists). In 2007, Chuck and Dexter made a live appearance, performing at the H.P. Lovcraft Film Festival. Over the years, Tim has worked with folks like Stevie Ray’s and the Brave New Workshop. From time to time, he performs a solo improvisational performance called 300 Comic Books at Improv-a-Go-Go. He’s also appeared in Fun With Law’s Soulless, Bloodsucking Lawyers and Hardcover Theater’s London After Midnight.
